BENEFITS OF USING WOOD

A study conducted in Japan measures the initial psychological responses of 14 subjects sitting in two rooms with walls of wood or steel panels. According to the results, being in a wooden-walled room significantly lowers subjects ' blood pressure, while steel panels exhibit the opposite effect.

Another study conducted in Austria compared subjects who slept in a natural wooden bed for 3 weeks and those who slept in an emitter wooden bed. In those who slept in the wooden bed, the pulse was observed to drop compared to others.

Again, a one-year study in Austria focused on the use of wood in the classroom. Two classes were prepared, wood-weighted and linoleum-weighted. The results showed significant differences between students in both decks. Students in the wooden classroom were observed to have a decreased heart rate and decreased stress caused by communication with the teacher. In the other class, there was an increase in these two rates. A similar study shows us that in classrooms designed entirely with wood, morning stress, measured by pulse rate, falls shortly after arriving at school and does not rise again. In other classes, a moderate level of stress persists throughout the day.
